Copper IUD problems

I got my IUD - Copper placed in April of this year. All went well, had mild cramps/bleeding. Had my first period and it was normal/to mildly heavy! I had discharge with brown blood for a few months after that. I am perimenopause so it feels like I am always on my period. Every 23 days to be exact. The bleeding has gotten heaver and I spot in between periods, after intercourse and even while I go jogging. It seems to be getting more frequently instead for getting less! I went to see a OBYN (not mine unfortunately) and she took a sample from my uterus to see if there was an infection (that was two days ago) I bleed after she did that too! Anyway, sorry so long, just wondering if anyone has had these symptoms. I am 42 with 3 children and never bled in between periods. Always very normal. Thanks! Tweet
