Advice for relative diagnosed with HYPER-THYROIDISM:

I recently saw a relative and was quite shocked to see how much weight she has lost and how old she looks. When I inquired what had happened to her she said the Dr diagnosed her with hyperthyroidism and they put her on the following meds:METHMAZOLE 10 mgs three times daily and
PROPRANOLOL 40 mgs.

She said she's feeling better since going on the meds but I'm wondering if Iodine would be okay for her to take with the meds or does she have to wait until she dicontinues them.I'm also wondering what kind of side effects these meds will have on her.I told her about the benefits of Iodine and directed her here.Would really appreciate any advice on whether Iodine would benefit her.

Thanks.
