So I went to the dentist today to get a pretty large cavity filled, but they told me it needs a root canal, cause the decay is so deep.... I told them I want it pulled instead of a root canal, and of course they frowned upon that, and tried to talk me out of it...they said the root canal is no big deal blah blah blah.......But I've read that I should NOT get a root canal, for various health reasons....But they kept telling me that I should save the tooth if I can (it's the second molar back). .....So my question is, do you think it's worth trying to heal it at least in the root area (by fasting), to the point where I could just get a regular filling (no metal)....Or, do you think I should just get the root canal, or, do you think I should have it pulled?? ....Any advise would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
