Re: How should you break a dry fast ?

I personally only broke long dry fast once, since my last 9.5 day transitioned to water it was no longer a dry fast when I broke it. I will however use Dr. Filonov's sistem this time.

Here's how he breaks dry fasts for his patients and recommends it to others as well.

Day 1. You break your fast with a glass of water which you drink for 10 -15 minutes, mixing sips with saliva and swallowing. Then you can take a cool shower followed by a warm bath during which you can drink another glass of water.

Next you make a "compot" by boiling dry prunes and dry appricots without sugar, then drinking the liquid. You can drink that all day.

Then 2 hours later you can have a glass of kefir (www.lifeway.net/).

Then 4 hours later home made veggie soup but without salt.

In the evening you can have some herbal tea with honey or more of compot

Day 2 Breakfast: You can start with some liquidy buckweat or oatmeal with a little bit of olive oil if you like and honey, herbal tea.

Lunch: Fish broth, buckweat or oatmeal, compot, salad

Dinner: Steamed veggies, buckweat or oatmeal, herbal tea, honey,

Day 3 The same as the second day but you can start adding little bit of salt. You can also start having fruit juice.

Day 4: Same as day 3

Day 5: You can add toasted whole weat bread and whole fruit.

After day 5 he says you can start eating normal but ideally for the first 2 weeks focus on veggies and fruits.
