Re: My trip to the dentist today. Please advise
I also have an infection under a tooth, though my dentist(mercury free/holistic) is not rushing for me to have it out. Have you also seen a hygenist? Keeping the mouth, gums and teeth super clean helps.
My hygenist had me get a water pick to use twice a day. They also instructed me to brush with a special tooth paste. There was discussion of oil pulling with special methods and instruction on alkalizing. For an infection I like to use coconut oil with a few drops of oregano oil in my oil pulling.
Do what you can to boost your overall health and your immune system. I was wondering if this tooth was one that was a root canal? They say that these are generally trouble, that it is not good to leave a dead tooth in the mouth and infections underneath the tooth at the jaw are common. Mine is a root canal. I may have to have it out.
There are tons of microorganisms in the mouth. If your health and hygene is poor, they will thrive. I had one extraction with an implant. Not by a holistic/biological dentist. The implant was titanium. Some say it is best to have no metal in the mouth. You can get a zirconium implant(maybe thats what your dentist has in mind) I bet that is the pricier option. I have been reading so much here on cure zone and it often comes back to dental health and taking infection seriously. Take care.
