Healing from Some Kind of Chemical or Similar Exposure
Hi,
Hoping someone can help, as I'm often in pain when I am in my apartment. And it's my 5th or 6th move after being exposed to something last year, in a 100 year old house in Berkeley, CA after removing a section of wall.
Not sure, but I think it was some mold, VOCs, lead and heavy metals. Working hard to get rid of any effects from being around it. I was 100% better when I'm away from it. But I brought my stuff with, and that seemed to propagate my symptoms. Recently I got wise and got rid of it all or stored a small amount.
Worked with naturopaths, acupunturists, homeopaths, and western doctors, but still, a few symptoms remain.
When I walk in my room, I notice this weird smell, the same smell from way back when it first happened. I immediately get pains in my head. Better if I've been out working out, playing sports, or just having fun.
I've taken everything out of the room, washed all my clothes (many times), mopped the fake wood (Pergo) floor and use an Austin Air Healthmate Plus air purifier and a fan. Also, when in apartment for a while, and then I leave, the air feels cold when I breathe in.
No one else smells this smell. If I haven't taken appropriate measures, especially exercise, it can make my head hurt when I walk into the room inside and in different parts of my head, accompanied with dizziness if I'm in there too long.
I end up spending a lot of my day outside of the apartment to avoid the smell and the adverse reactions. Also, some parts of the apartment hurt me as well, like my lungs when I am around the fake material (I think it's microfiber) on the my roommate's couch or his area rugs (both he refuses to part with). Sometimes my eyes burn as well.
I'm doing a lot to maintain and improve my health. Daily organic green drinks, soccer a few times per week, saunas at the gym, glutathione nebulizer (per my ND), many pills, including chela-detox, zeolyte spray, a powder and molasses mix and many other things listed based on Linda Page's chemical healing protocol: (http://books.google.com/books?id=3fGPcfC4jsoC&lpg=PP1&dq=Linda%20Page%27s%20Healthy%20Healing&pg=PA523#v=onepage&q=page%20523&f=false). Still, I have the reactions listed above.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop this strange smell and the physical reactions that occur? Also, if there is just a little bit of this in my body (I am not sure), how does something so small cause so much trouble?
Thanks,
Eric
