Re: Religious beliefs

See in order to do proper fasting, 1/2 hour or more prior to beginning the fast you take a small meal like some yogurt and fruit or some tea or even a glass of water. Then begin your fast with prayer, no bad talk or deeds. You can rest a lot and take it easy and you will feel a calmness inside. It is very peaceful to fast.

Then at sunset, you break your fast with a few dates. 1, 3, 5, 7 or more with some water. Eat as you will now but a meal with low fat is better. Some eat huge meals but it is self defeating.

Remember dry fasting means no sex, no injections of any kind unless it is needed for health. Not even the smelling of fumes when you are cooking. Simple things.

You cannot brush your teeth or go to the dentist either. Simple things you may not of thought of.

Then one day off and then fast the next day the same way. Fast, rest and then break.

Now if you will fast on the full moon this is blessed and those are 3 days in a row.

August 1st starts our Ramadan and we will fast 30 days in a row, but breaking the fast at sunset as I stated. There is no better fast in the world. I did the Water Fast thing and almost died.
