honestly you would be shocked to learn how long it would take for the U.S. to gear up to actually manufucture again. sure we have some manufacturing... but nothing like China, and nothing like we used to. I know first hand that many many factories have been torn down, scrapped, and shipped overseas for parts. That stuff doesn't come back right away. Even if it could be quickly rebuilt (manufacturing capacity), where would the money come from? major pain ahead, no matter how you slice it. Tweet
