cfsismylife, it sure sounds like Morgellons to me.
I'd stay away from your mother if I were you. She is going to be particularly vulnerable, so do what you have to in order to protect her from catching this.

All the symptoms you describe are attributed to Morgellons. Every last one of them.
Get yourself an inexpensive hand-held microscope (about $!2) and look at your skin. You can often see the fibers still under the skin (as well as emerged). You'll probably also see a lot of 'black specks' in the skin...yet another symptom.

You can order a microscope at amazon.com or many of the Radio Shacks carry it.

Another thing you can do is use the black light on yourself. I suggest looking at your skin with a magnifying glass as you shine the black light on you. You might see 'glitter' or you might see fibers. Sometimes they are so small you would need the magnifier to see them.

Try this...
After you get out of the tub you can run a shower on you to rinse any fibers on the skin that you presume came from clothing, off. DO NOT towel dry. Stay in the bathroom (have your black light ready) and let yourself air dry. Keep checking in on your skin with the UV light. I literally watched fibers emerge from my skin after 10-15 mins. Make sure not to stare at the light. Very dangerous to do so.
