Re: HIV/ lymphoma help needed fast!!

I am HIV+. I was taken in by non-sensical, unproven, undocumented theories such as "HIV does not cause AIDS." I made the choice to not take ARVs, and stopped going to the doctor. I believed that HIV was harmless and would not have any effect on me. This choice led to a very scary brush with death; I landed in a hospital with life threatening Pneumocystis Pneumonia, and CD4 count of <10. At the time, I was 30 years old, with no prior history of illness. I am a dancer for a living, and have been in shape and working out since high school. In my case, there is NO reason why my immune system would be depleted to the point of near death unless HIV was destroying my immune system. There is no reason why my CD4s would have been so low unless something was killing them.

It is possible that there are natural cures for HIV. Until an HIV+ individual speaks up and proves to me that they "cured" their HIV, I am happy to be alive taking my meds. I take one pill a day, my viral load was undetectable in three months, and my CD4 counts are increasing on a monthly basis. I have gained weight, I look better and most importantly feel better. I know that I am healthy.

Whatever treatment you choose to follow, you MUST have your health monitored by a doctor. Do not make the same mistakes I made. Finding a doctor you like is key. I love my doctor, and trust him implicitly.
