thanks for taking the time. the cercaria images definitely have a resemblance.
but aren't cercaria the larval stage of trematodes? i think they are microscopic and shed their tail when they enter the host. these worms we've been expelling range from 6 inches to 24 inches. the body is 1 inch to 2 inches long.
it really looks like a liver fluke with a long tail.
