Checked out some of that nifty new snow..
Dragged in a large bowl of snow from the "patio"..
and melted it.
...it's utterly loaded with very small to microscopic
translucent fibers..and some long ones as well...
[10-20 mm].
Driving myself nuts trying to get
ANY of the cameras to make a pic of what is clearly
visible to the human eye..on the other side of the flat
side of the glass cannister. Different technical
obstructions for each camera are sabotaging my efforts.
...maybe the Sony has a manual override..some way to
turn off the simple minded "auto focus" "sonar" that is
utterly baffled by glass containers...will try again
tomorrow.
meanwhile...have just enough energia to fight the
dysfunctional dialup long enough to post one pic.
..this one is rather depressing...the snow is
full of too familiar fibers...[and the "spore" particles
that launch fibers.]
...the "hairlike"/"morg" fiber is actually translucent/crystalline**..and has that helical
surface texture going for it..that gives it a jaggedy
appearance.
**
{{if properly top lit..but i kept washing out the
blue fiber. [enough tinkering..just take the shot already!]}}
..the blue ribbon fiber..always with the
ribbon fibers..
bad enough that the tap water if full of ribbon fibers..
they are in the snowfall as well?
..this is...discouraging.
