Re: Poo-Gloos treat sewage as quickly and effectively
I love this idea, using bacterial solutions to deal with poo is not new, but this invention makes it very efficient.
I personally like the idea of using water hyacinths in warmer climates or in a covered "greenhouse" type situation. The hyacinths filter the water making it more pure than by chemical methods and sterilizes the water at the same time. Chemical treatment leaves over 40ppm of impurities in the water while water hyacinths only leave about 11ppm of impurities. A study down in San Diego showed that raw sewage ran through the hyacinths left water pure enough to drink at the other end with no further treatment.
The best part is that you have all this material that can now be used in many ways from methane production for fuel or power production (4 cu ft or methane produced for every cu ft of plant), paper fiber, animal feed, compost, etc. If making methane the liquid in the digester can be used as a plant food source in hydroponcis systems.
This is what I want to do on my ranch when I get it to purify the water before discharge or irrigation.
