Susceptibility to glutamate toxicity in the brain is not really an allergy, but more a developmental problem with neurotransmitter balance and protective elements.

I'm also ADD (attention deficit), which tends to predispose one to glutamate toxicity (like autism spectrum).

Many people naturally seek out sources of GABA like beer, which is inhibitory - I always say that's why my dad is always drinking (he has ADD too).
