Re: Lack of ratings and attention to alerts good and bad
I saw what your post was about, and replied with my own opinion. Is there a problem with that?
I agree, some attacks, and what some people perceive as being worthy of an R rating, is subjective. Some attacks, and some very good posts, are quite obvious, and don't require a great deal of thought to see what they are, which makes the ignoring of them less of a subjective perception.
Do you think that asking about moderation on this forum is somehow wrong? If the WM is the moderator here, as you have pointed out, I would have thought he would provide a good example of how moderating should be done.
Perhaps what happens on this forum, is the example that the WM wishes to be seen. If that is so, then maybe all moderators should take their cue from the way this forum is moderated. That would be interesting.
Its also interesting that you use the language of "barking and whining", to describe those who express their concerns to the WM. I've noticed this before from other posters. I've also noticed this type of labelling in the wider community.
