Max and Dave Chalmers, an old pic from the 70s.

When Max was a puppy he would howl at the waters edge whenever DC went out. So one day Dave taped some carpet to his stick and took max out. The begining of the surf duo, DC and Max. When conditions got to be too much for max and dave went out solo, max would still howl at the waters edge.

Theres been a number of surfin dogs as u probably know, but max was a real standout. Evan had a segment on Amazing Animals in that same era.

Dave got some nice waves with Max and recieved letters from all over the world from people intriqued and inspired by them. Great memories. I put the pic up when DC passed on a couple of years ago. Keeps the memory fresh every time I log on. Tweet
