TOS ... a few thoughts

Just letting you know that there is a new Moderator present and TOS will be more closely enforced for new messages posted here.

I won't have time to deal with all the old messages. So please only send "alerts" for NEW POSTS unless there are any old ones that are over-the-top offensive.

If you feel that your message has been blocked unfairly, you can publicly post the reason that you think your message was within TOS.

Keep in mind that when you write a message, it may be interpreted in different ways than you expect. Always ask yourself, is this something I'd say to a friend or family member sitting across the table from me?

For example, INSTEAD of writing things like

"if you had read my post" (this is a dig)

or

"That flew right over your head" (this is an insult to the other's intelligence)

You COULD write:

"What I meant was..." (Uses "I" instead of "you" and is respectful)

or

"Please re-read my post" (This is respectful).

If you write...

"To me, it appears insincere / dishonest / stupid when you ..."

...This is just another way of attacking the other person and is a covert form of name-calling, in my opinion.
