Re: Listen to what I heard on the radio this morning
"And are you ready for the best part???? She has the utmost confidence in her doctor because a lot of her friends have had the same exact surgery and he is really good. She says you have no idea how common this is."
Yeah, that's the kicker.
We're all supposed to partner up with these MDs and let them slice and dice us. We're supposed to let them inject us with who knows what because everybody's doing it. We're supposed to take their drugs because they're DOCTORS and they spent many years earning the right to cross reference "symptoms" with the drug of the day.
And we're supposed to be TOUGH about it, by golly. WE have been given this challenge to BETTER ourselves. Hey, haven't y'all heard that people's lives improve after they've been through a round or two of chemo? Dis-ease is something to FIGHT. The MDs will provide the drugs, etc, WE provide the FIIGHT and the desire to LIVE. And if you all can't do that, then y'all just don't deserve this life.
Part of it is the fact that we grow up hearing that doctor knows best. Those of us that have seen american medicine kill those we love are blessed, in a way.
And, the part that your statement touches on is that now we're in a situation where we have the general public pressuring the general public to go along with these "treatments". Everyone is doing it! Hey, there's a support group in your neighborhood!
Not only go along with, but we're also asked to schill for pharmaceutical companies everytime someone is running, walking or crawling for the "cure".
*sigh*
