Re: How much iodine affects thyroid function?

Thank you for your reply! I feel better now....I was worried so much about my thyroid going off again. Yes, my doctor always tells me to avoid Iodine because it will mess up my thyroid, but I know I have a defincency and I just feel so much better on it! I started off with 2 drops and then I have increased it up to 7 drops, and as long as it helps my moods like it has, then I will keep it up.

So the amount of Iodine in the 7 drops of Lugol's is 45mg? I've got a ways to go then!

That's great that you have been on the same dose for a couple of years.....and what do you mean that your hyptothyroidism is almost gone? The Iodine will get rid of it??? Wow!

I do take all those vitamins you mentioned, except for selenium.....I need to get back on that. I also take L-Tyrosine-that's supposed to be real good for your thyroid.
