The tea shoud last for months in the refrigerator.

As long as the tea wasn't actually touching the metal lids it should be okay, but I would make a new batch just to be safe.

Try to get plastic lids if you can. If you are using mason jars to store the kombucha you can buy wide mouth plastic lids. Sometimes you can get them at W-mart or you can by them online. If you can't get plastic lids, you can always use wax paper or cellophane and a rubber band.
