Nutritional yeast is LOADED with B Vitamins and I get a natural niacin rush when I eat a few tbsp of it. When I ingest less of it - I don't get the same reaction. But the good news is - it's not an allergy - it's the rush that you'd get from taking niacin but in a healthful, food based fashion.
Good stuff! I put it on soooo much. Yeasty popcorn is our favorite in our house. Popcorn with nutritional yeast, a bit of cayenne and a bit of real Sea Salt is AMAZING. It's awesome in guacamole (along with raw garlic minced), it's amazing on salads with toasted sesame oil and a small bit of salt - I actually put a tbsp of it in my superfood once a day and it helped me repair from B vitamin deficiencies and anemia for sure!
Uny taught me to make 'con queso' with it - it's awesome too. The lists are endless. Google vegan recipes and nutritional yeast' - it's amazing what necessity does for recipe creativity!! Just say no to dairy - our intestines thank us!
