Thanks for your advice - I see you are a regular contributor and many, many people heed your advice! the magnesium i was taking WAS the oxide version so I've quit that now - jeez, a minefield, isn't it!
There is always a lot to learn. By the way if you want to use up the rest of your magnesium oxide instead of throwing it out just take it with something acidic such as ascorbic acid or vinegar. This will help with the absorption and prevent it from burning the intestinal wall.
Do have some concerns regarding the vitex too - wondered if it may be the cause of my luteal phase suddenly lengthening?
Vitex is used to lengthen the luteal phase when it is too short. So this is likely the cause.
Have you ever come across this in forum experience?
No, I have not had anyone mention that before.
Not going to do anything drastic though - or go for a prescription med quick fix - It's only been 2 months after all!
Hormones do take time to balance. Often the system will over compensate. But gradually the body makes the corrections and the hormones balance.
