No one's looking for stones here.
Spud, did you look at that url in my previous post? There are pictures of hepatic stones, stories, and if you google it you'll find many more. It seems that it's a big deal in the West. And, why not here? One reason could be the doctors here aren't looking for them. Did you dissect the livers looking for stones?
Apparently, it's very common in the East where doctors do all kinds of procedures we don't do here. And, they're saying stones are caused from an infection. So many "facts" to sift through.

Intrahepatic stones are reported mainly in Far Eastern Asian populations and are not frequently encountered in the West [12, 14].However, this disease is now being seen more frequently in Western societies, largely as a result of increased immigration from Asian countries [14]. Bile infection seems to play an important role in the pathogenesis of intrahepatic stones; the calculi are usually brown, bilirubin-pigmented, and friable.
