Yes, I agree that the thinning of my "peels" probably has to do with my use of the steroid ointment but I can function in society without large thick ugly scabs which were embarrassing and sooooo painful when they came off. I use the least amount I can and apply it very gently with the wide end of a flat toothpick. Now the skin under my "peels" is not as raw and painful though it starts some crusting soon after (that's where the Badger balm is so helpful). As far as burning...I suffered from it right from the get-go. The general conclusion is that Aldara caused nerve damage which in turn caused/causes my burning. That is why I am taking Neurontin which alleviates it somewhat. I'm worse in the heat or if I am very active for some reason (which comes into play with those who say it's an internal issue). I will keep on keeping on...gotta. I am interested in some of the posts I have read and have already started taking digestive enzymes. Any ideas posted are appreciated by those of us who are still searching, if not for a cure, for a better way of life. It truly is a conundrum! Thanks for your input...the more the better.
