Taking MSM after total knee replacement?
My Mother was 65 when she had a total knee replacement surgery, where they implanted a stainless steel joint. She is 68 now.
Mom has moderate Alzheimer's. She still has plenty of sense and is independent for the most part. But she needs supplementation that will help slow/stall her decline. MSM looks great, not only because it can lower homocysteine levels and offer *some* protection to brain cells, but also because it helps with
Arthritis and is good for pretty much all your cells.
I had been giving Mom 20 grams daily, broken into 3 doses mixed in juice, until a couple of days ago.
Since MSM has been said to have a 'chelating' effect, I am concerned. Could there be any negative condition caused by the MSM, since she has a stainless steel knee joint?
Thanks.
