It is funny, I do what you do, or something similar. I like broccoli baked in the oven until it is almost or even partially black. Tastes a little like popcorn when the florets are full of olive oil.
The other weird thing I do on occasion is sautee onions with butter (in olive oil and a little butter) until they are black and crispy. I don't know if it is alkalanizing, but it is better than potato chips!
