Re: Eat that lard for Vitamin D3!

Yes, I think there's a general feeling of good fun in this thread. I've been just waiting for the right opportunity to be able to share that picture of the lard-happy family.

i read that the best source of silicon is "beer and pork rinds"... So-o-o, perhaps it's really the silica that you like, which is so key in the whole picture of bodily balance.
(vit. D/D3 needs calcium, calcium needs silica, etc. etc.
Balance promotes being able to be appreciative of well-being = "feeling good".)

:-)

Chiron. Feeling good with green tea and cinnamon, and appreciation for that thing called precious human birth.
Let's not waste it!

Edit:
But seriously. Very soberly here; no sarcasm meant--these animals who "manufacture" lard in their bodies (assuming we are not talking about eating fellow humans for lard)do so through the various miracles known as sun, air, and most often lots of green plant material, which we know is really a wonder food. >>> well, in an ideal world--where they graze and are not fed poisons to fatten them up for market.
Sorry. This is the dark side of lard. But I do (begin to) believe that once, it probably was quite healthy, when people had family farms and were not simply contracted by agri-corporations to provide the fastest possible "food".
It's a hell state for so many animals.

Parents back in the day used to always give young children 'farm sets'--and they were lovely. Happy families, happy chickens, cows, sheep...

Coconut oil too -and palm- is a very healthy oil, (and we've been told for decades it's bad) as long as it's not processed with chemicals and hydogenated.
