Re: Hv is an herbalist-not a dietician-and a very busy person

From what I've read, he eats whatever he wants and doesn't subscribe to specific diet plans.

Correct, I do not subscribe to any one diet and I do whatever I want. What diet works for an individual depends on that individual. And I am not talking about because of your blood type or any garbage like that. There are too many variables to say that any one diet is for everyone. What I can eat is a lot different from what a diabetic could eat.  And most people can eat foods with phenylalanine, but not people with phenylketonuria. If people have certain food allergies then again they are limited on what they can eat. Same for people with Celiac. And so on and so forth. Bottom line is that diet is a very individualistic thing and diets therefore must be based on the individual. And to recommend a specific diet requires having a detailed history on the person. This is why I don't go in to much detail about diets.

And you are right I do not subscribe to any type of strict diet (vegetarianism, raw food, high protein, etc.). Each has its disadvantages. In general I think a varied and balanced diet is best. I even feed my fish with this same principle giving them a wide variety of food rather than feeding them the same thing all the time.
