Just want to find out for sure. Do we use a lid on our kefir grains to ferment them? And is this lid tight?
The reason I ask is because I'm finding conflicting reports on what to do. Some say use a lid and make it tight. Some say don't use a lid use a cloth or a coffee filter because the jar might explode due to the gases produced.
My grains are growing good. I don't want to have to get new ones because the jar exploded.
