Re: How to handle the powder?

Rocky,
I'm not quite sure what you mean exactly.

I find that powder likes to stick to itself, even in sealed 100 kg drums. I grind mine again with a stainless screen system before resale as a consumer commodity. Bulk sales gets rocks with theirs.

My powder is from Aragonesas and is really fine and white as snow, but it will turn into a big old rock. I was afraid that I was leaking moisture at first, but after the 6th barrel being like that I looked into it and found it was pretty common.

There is a bit of dust involved anytime you use powder. I "should" use a common cheap 1 micron dust mask, goggles and gloves at all times. As soon as you are done doing whatever it is you do with your powder, take off the mask and goggles and wash your face. The only place it gets me is where the mask traps dust against my skin, and I sweat a bit, it can give you a nasty little chemical rash.

Also, make absolutely sure everything is squeaky clean and rinsed with distilled water. Any type of oil, grease, etc will wreck the whole batch. Miracle-Mineral-Supplement should never be cloudy.

Make sure all the NACLO2 is put up before you break out any citric acid powder. Just a little can really affect the life of the NACLO2 if it infiltrates the supply.

Probably not exactly what you were asking about, but I hope it helps.
