Re: my personal testimony re diabetes reversal
my personal testimony
I was diagnosed with diabetes 8 months ago. I had 15 readings in the 400-600 plus range and over a hundred in the 300s. Every time I went to a fair or something where they tested it in the previous several years before my A1C test went above 5.9 indicating diabetes, it was still in the severe range (over 300) so I may have had this for years and just found out for sure 8 months ago.
I made the following lifestyle changes in hopes of reversing my diabetes.
1 I became a vegan (no animal products)
2 gave up fast and junk food..ate a whole food diet (real food)
3 I started exercising 4-7 days a week
4 I also did a 50 day juice fast
5 I tried to eat low on the glycemic index
6 I reduced whole grains and fruit some but definitely did not stop fruit which I ate daily but grains I did not eat daily. I also increased beans and raw nuts.
7 I tried to eat as much raw food as I could (averaging 35-85%) 85 to 100% is optimal
Consider doing the hallelujah diet (see hacres.com for what this is) or Dr Gabriel Cousens phase 1 (100% raw vegan, whole food diet) which is what Dave the raw food trucked used. Once on that about 3-6 months you can move to stage 2. The book by Dr Cousens is "rainbow green live food cuisine>"--amazon
8 a lot of variety in diet and I happened to be eating about 80% produce but not sure that is necessary
the end result was I lost nearly 20% of my weight, I stated having readings in the 100-175 range. whenever I slip and have meat or cheese, my blood
Sugar surges to 375.
I had an A1C test that was 7.0 and 2 weeks ago, it was retested after I made these changes and it was now normal 5.3 and my fasting blood
Sugar was also normal
I would also recommend a lot of
juicing (drink within 15 minutes and chew the juice do not hold over in the refrigerator. Include a lot of green smoothies and juices in you diet (alternate the greens every day or two) Add fruit, water and maybe ice to any of the following or other green leafy veggies:
kale, dandelion greens, turnips, radish, daikon, beet, carrot tops, spinach, romaine, watercress, parsley, bok choy, cabbage, asian greens, wild greens like burdock, purslane, lambs quarter, violet leaves etc.
Recommended amounts 1
quart minimum to 2 gallons.
If juice fasting, do not do the green smoothies but make the green juice/fruit juice combo with a juicer instead of a blender/vitamix and discard the pulp
