Re: Parasites problem blown out of proportion?

Unfortunately, I have no diagnosis. Just as many here have no diagnosis... I believe that is what brought many of us here. :)

I have it narrowed down to hookworms or strongyloides due to the migrating larvae. I have tracks like a road map all over my body. Including my face. I posted a picture of that in the gallery.

I have just finished 14 days straight with ivermectin, 12 mg, once a day.

I am now doing probably 7 days (not sure yet) of albendazole. I tried taking them together but felt very sick.

I am leaning more toward strongyloides than hookworms based on how fast the damned things move under my skin and the fact that I have been coughing them up, blowing them out my nose for some time now. The 'autoinfection' feature of strongyloides leads me to believe that is what is going on.

I'm not convinced of hookworms because in order to have the symptoms I have for the duration I've had them would mean I'd have to be continually reinfecting myself. That's not possible.

I really don't give a rat's hindquarters what is more debilitating than what. This has made me SICK. Sicker than I've ever been. I had necrosis in a surgical incision that didn't make me this friggin' sick. :)

I was hospitalized for an additional 4 days and on IV Antibiotics and it wasn't THIS bad.
