Re: Women are Lied to about WEIGHT, too!
I really feel for the young people growing up today, it is so hard to know what is 'normal' weight or body shape anymore. This is particularly true for women.
Many mothers are obsessed with dieting and what they look like, what sort of message is this sending to their children. I have a friend with young children, who never eats a proper meal, (she's on a meal replacement diet), and I wonder how this is affecting her children.
Plastic surgery, lap banding surgery, diet pills, meal replacement diets, etc etc etc, at the expense of good healthy food, and a healthy body. This is juxtaposed against constant advertising of junk food,
Sugar filled drinks, alcohol etc etc etc. No wonder kids are confused. (and not just the kids).
I understand about wanting to be and look the best you can, but I can't help thinking that these days its not about looking your best, its about looking like the rest of society thinks you should look, not about what is best for you as an individual.
