The thing is, by looking through the lens of Chinese medicine, you are placing a template over top of an otherwise natural process. Animals in the wild do very well without the belief system of Chinese medicine. ;-)

Take macrobiotics for instance. Many people can heal on such a diet but become dependent on that labor intensive way of eating. If they go off the diet they become ill quickly again. The founder himself did not live a long life.

In the raw food paradigm (natural way of life) if this is done with mineral rich food, then people do very well and there is no need to think about heat or cold or up or down. No template required.
