I've noticed that many raw diet individuals become very passionate about what works for them. And so they should! However, let's look at the relevancy of raw diets.
Raw veggies are very cooling to the body compared to steamed veggies which become warming to the body. Now, according to Chinese herbology, we look to see if a person has too much heat in the body and determine which foods/herbs will help tone down the excesses of heat. So, for a person who has too much heat produced a raw diet will counter-act and cool the excess heat thereby making a "hot" person feel better.
However, . . . what if a person has chronic cold conditions? They will gravitate toward steamed, warming vegetables which they should!
Now, can everyone see that there are no absolutes in the health field; only relevancy.
