It appears to be very similar to a 3 watt 10.5 volt T6 Intermediate Screw (E17) Base Germicidal Preheat Incandescent Eiko Light Bulb that doesn't need a ballast or starter whereas this one does. (Bear in mind that there are germicidal bulbs/lamps that do not produce large amounts of ozone.)

There's a similar ad/webpage from the same company at http://moldlight.com/NonOzone.html.

They don't state the ozone mg/hr output but it does have some "shock" ability though 450 cubic feet isn't all that much. (That would approximately be a room 7.6' x 7.6' x 7.6'.)

I'm unable to pay $89 but I know I can build it myself for a fraction of that if I can identify the bulb (which will then enable me to locate a ballast/starter). (Yes, they do sell the ozone lamp for $13 but I'm sure I can beat that, too.)

Theoretially, 2 such bulbs could shock a 10' x 10' x 10' room. Not bad. So if I can get 'em cheap enough (with ballast/starters), I can create an ozone generator that's safer than the corona discharge units (no nitric oxide and no need for a drier), kill mold, and do all sorts of ozone "stuff."

If anyone can identify this bulb/lamp, I'd appreciate any information you can provide.

In health,

Paul
