Johns Hopkins did a major study on this issue and found that the liver gets clogged with stones that resemble gallbladder stones. In fact, 60% of the liver can be clogged with stones and it will still function. The liver stones can get as large as a golf ball, but most are smaller. Up to 20,000 stones have been removed from a liver that was classified as "Fatty Liver."

To really clean the liver well, one needs to prepare the elimination organs 3 weeks prior to the actual cleanse that takes about 14 hours to do it properly.
