It is probably because you are applying it twice instead of once per day. When I applied it more tha once per day, my lips became very dry. Put some moisturizer on your lips tonight. Then apply acidophilus liquid to raw area in the morning or the next day- if you want to wait a day.

I have been on this forum a lot lately because I want to make sure people do not apply too much or use other products with it.
