Re: Cancer viruses and dealing with cancer
I agree wholeheartedly. Viruses can create conditions that lead to cancer but that does not make the viruses a direct cause of cancer. The same is true of genetics, which can make someone more predisposed to having cancer but do not necessarily lead to cancer.
As an analogy, you could cut yourself and have the wound become infected and ultimately end up getting gangrene. That does not lead to the conclusion that cuts cause gangrene. Similarly, you could treat your wound with something that has strong anti-viral properties and thus prevent gangrene, clear it up if it has occured and prevent it from spreading - the same as anti-virals can prevent and treat some cancers as well as help prevent their spread.
I find it rather amazing for someone to put forth a theory which is not accepted by the very large majority of people within and without mainstream medicine, namely that viruses are the primary cause of cancer and that cancer itself can be passed from one person to another like the common cold, and then call those who disagree "guru worshippers" and such.
None of us have all the answers here, but some of appear to have a hard time with answers that don't agree with their own.
