Re: Albendazole or Mebendazole? Which should I take?

I didn't mean to start a debate but hope you will continue to help me decide on a path to take.

I will tell you a little about my very recent and desperate searching for help.

Firstly, I'd like to say that it was a homeopath that has been attempting to help me that has asked me to resort to these drugs. I know very little about all this and ask your patience and guidance.

I am infested with pin worms and who knows what else. My main concern right now is that the pin worms are causing me distress all afternoon until sometime well after bed time that I can finally fall asleep. I have an anal fistula that I believe may be caused by pin worms. An anal fistula is not life threatening, I know but it most certainly is quality of life threatening! Most people are too ashamed to admit having an anal fistula, let alone talking about it or seeking help from a doctor.

The fistula is caused by and abscess, that causes an opening that drains near the anus. It constantly gets infected and leaks. Stool can even pass through the opening.
I suffered with a fever, nausea and feeling really terrible for months. After and number of courses of Antibiotics , the infection returns immediately. Also, the odor is extremely foul which, of course, is humiliating.

After researching this disorder, I find that the only medical approach is surgery; they cut you a**hole to fistula, right through the sphincter. That of course can cause incontinence and from what I've found, the surgery mostly fails. Some poor unfortunate people have not only suffered with the shame of living with an anal fistula but have suffered 6 or 7 operations. The reason that I am posting in the parasite forum is because I believe that there is a link between pin worms and anal fistulas. Pin worms burrow through flesh, that could cause an infection, that could turn into an abscess, that could cause a fistula. I feel the pin worms crawling out the fistula opening. There is just one other person that I have talked to about this that has a fistula and he too has felt them wiggle out the fistula opening. This of course, will prevent it from ever healing and will cause re infection.

I am just finishing the Paragone and I've been using the Terminator for almost 2 months and the last two weeks wearing it 24/7 on my belly, with no relief from the pin worms what so ever. I have seem some kind of parasites in my stool but am not educated enough to know what they are. I use Antibiotic ointment and have tried Vaseline with lavender oil. It just seems to make things worse. When I use anything like this, they invade my vagina. I'm afraid to use anything that will drive them up there even farther.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't know anything about these medications and I find it confusing when drugs that a homeopath recommends are what some of you called horse wormers and such. He/we have gotten concerned enough about my condition to resort to drugs. Unless there is a better way. I hate taking drugs but can not continue to live like this!
