THe biggest reason that the forums got split into two forums, is that there are people like myself that really don't like to see people resorting to animal dewormers, ordering pharma drugs that should be taken under a Dr's care off of the internet- from countries that who knows what the quality of them is...or ordering fish tank Prazi off of ebay.

Here's a good example of why people here have concerns.

#1 People have NO idea what types of parasites they are killing, or where they are located. Most people think of the parasites as being in the intestinal tract, and that seeing them in the toilet is the indicator of if they are killing parasites or not.

The person in this post, got a heck of a scare, using Zimectrin Gold horse dewormer. It has both Ivermectin and Prazi in it.

One of the main parasites Ivermectin is used for, is filarial type worms. I have a case of the stuff on the shelf for the horses-- and there is a warning on it about the reactions horses can have if a big bunch of filiarial (O. Volvolus) parasites are killed at one time. They are in the lymph and blood. It wouldn't be any different if a human killed off a bunch of them in the lymph and blood.

Another filarial worm, far more common than people have a clue, is the Dirofilarial Immitis worm. Dog Heart Worm. What happens to the dead worm carcass that is now deteriorating in a closed cavity?

Prazi..is not only hard on the liver, but it is one of the main drugs used under a Dr's supervision..for parasite cysts in the brain. Corticosteroids are used with the Prazi, because of swelling that takes place in the brain if a parasite/cyst is killed there.

I was just watching a documentary about how malaria has become resistant to drugs that should be effective for it..because of the fake drugs that only have a small amount of the parasite killing stuff in it. ARE the pharma drugs that people are getting off of the internet what they think they are, or are they fakes too? How safe are they? Just yesterday, I was listening to the news and they were talking about the men that had ended up in the hospital from purchasing v1agra over the internet, from a foreign country.

Do you think this person was scared from the reactions he got from taking the horse dewormer? Like he said..how could he then go to the ER, and tell them what he had taken? For one thing, it states right on the box of animal dewormers what it is intended for, and it's not meant for human use. These boxes of horse dewormer say right on them to not give them to smaller animals like dogs. Certain types of collie dogs, die from having Ivermectin given to them.
