This topic about whether these are tomato skins or some other food skins has been around for quite some time. Do they look like rolled up tomato skins? Yes! But these are spear-shaped protozoa. They are uniform in shape and appear in various sizes. Opened, they look like capes - again, all in uniform. Regardless of whether you eat tomatoes or not, the body is incapable of creating uniform tomatoe shoots upon digestion. They are parasites - E. recurvatum. Tweet
