it's both, the best way to understand it imo is that if a body is healthy then there is much more peace in the mind, so there tends to be more peaceful attitudes. still, a healthy body subjected to emotional trauma would still have a depressed or angry attitude, but not as bad as an unhealthy person who is subjected to the same traumas. Likewise, an unhealthy person who has a very easy life tends to be happy even though there are 'traumas' inside his body, and vice versa. Also, positive thinking or negative thinking can affect both equally. If you were wondering which is stronger, I would say definitely emotional intelligence plays the most vital role in our lives Except for when extreme circumstances, such as addictions, to anything, sex, food, drugs, violence, etc come into play...
