some personal thoughts.

in my case, it was what I didn't get, which I believe a noble man would have given freely.

In my case, I became my own daddy. I've taken care of myself very well.

BUT. I can't imagine the pressure parents feel in a nuclear family. I feel that that particular belief system(the nuclear family) is flawed, and I understand how my parents cracked under the pressure.

I had a dream that my horse was wounded and I was not tending to his wounds. In fact his wounds were raw gaping holes, you could see clear through them. This, after posting this, on this forum:

 

and finding out that according to the enneagram test I am a 6 and my basic fear is abandonment.

soooo.... time to take care of my horse?
