Re: plaque and tartar on teeth
IMO - There are two steps needed to experience what I would call a true "natural" elimination in plaque/tartar build up...
1. eating right... 100% of the time - tough even for the best of us to do, as well over 85% of food available in stores is garbage, and the remainder usually sanitized in some way - and our social interactions, especially this time of year have us making food and drink choice compromises in many cases.
#1 includes the incorporating of #2...
2. taking massive amounts of commensal bacteria through the eating of high quality home made naturally cultured and fermented foods like kefir, yogurt, cultured butter, sauerkraut, kimchi, true sour dough breads/fermented grains, unpasturized wines, beers, meads, etc... most commercial products of these items are totally useless (pasteurized) or far too weak and expensive.
Commensal bacteria produce plenty of enzymes, as well as vitamins, improve digestion and use of nutrients, manufacture short chain essential fatty acids, and proteins, aid in the recycling of nutrients, and aid all digestion, lymphatic, and immune related systems/organs... healthy, high quality foods (home grown, organic, non-commercial - much of it raw) also will provide commensal bacteria... if you do not "sanitize" your food.
Commensal bacteria are also a very important part of your body's biofeedback mechanism along with your endocrine glands (hormones), brain, etc.
Commensal bacteria are also important to help protect us from toxins, parasites, and pathogens.
There are other ways to dramatically reduce plaque/tartar build up...
The best of them perhaps, may be the taking of proteolytic enzymes, which are not needed if the above is put into practice as a matter of habit... Oil pulling, using a dry alkaline tooth powder along with
H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) to wet your brush, glyco-thymoline (Edgar Cayce)... however, these are not permanent resolutions to your issue... if you stop these practices, and do not do #1 and 2, the build up will recur... and again, these efforts are not truly needed after a time if #1 and 2 is a matter of habit.
Things like pharmaceuticals, especially
Antibiotics , will interfere with the effectiveness of anything you may choose to do... even #1 and 2, sometimes so completely, that health is dramatically affected for the worse for years if not permanently if you do not figure it out... many food chemical
additives will interfere as well, like splenda,
Antibiotic anything (soaps, surface cleaners), and the use of many very common household chemicals.
Pollution can also have an effect on the efficacy of #1 and 2... requiring more discipline and diligence in their application.
BTW - #1 and 2 will likely resolve a whole host of any issues you may have as well, including, over time, any nutritional deficiencies...
