Re: Suffering from fecal odor for 4 months, tried everything
LPN,
Thanks for your advice once again. I found that the candida diet was suggested quite frequently, so I decided to try it out most recently, after the probiotics/colon and liver cleanse program I tried didn't do much.
You mention B12 and folic acid, but I know I'm getting plenty of both (300% daily value B12, 100% RDV folic acid) from my multivitamin that I take daily. Is more than that really needed?
Also, I forgot to add into my first post, that I'm currently taking Oil of Oregano as well, and have been for about two months. Additionally, I currently only drink water, up to a gallon per day sometimes.
You said lemons and limes made your problem worse. That's one infuriating thing about my case: In 4 months, I've been completely unable to track down anything that makes my symptoms better or worse. I tend to have up and down days, but have found no pattern in them, in relation to diet, stress, bowel movements, sleep schedule, anything. I'll stick with the lemon juice (which I currently have on hand) until I can make it out to the store and pick up some ACV. It's cheaper than another round of probiotics, and as I'm currently unemployed (thanks to everyone's favorite mystery condition, FBO), this is important. :P
Another poster suggested a test to.. well, test stomach acid levels, and I'm gonna give that a go today, figure it can't hurt.
I just don't know what would *suddenly* cause these symptoms. To my knowledge, I didn't make any sudden diet/lifestyle changes that should cause this. The only thing I did was stop eating carbs at work, because I noticed they lead to a DIFFERENT
Body Odor when sweating after I'd eat them for lunch. I made this change about 2 weeks before the FBO came along.
If the candida diet doesn't end up working, which I'm suspecting it won't, I'm going to try going vegan for a little while and see if that helps. I'm sure my cravings for meat will be much easier to manages than carbs. :) That's one funny thing about this diet, at the beginning I literally *DREAMED* about bread, and now I couldn't really care less! :)
Thanks again.
