I found some of his comments confusing. Often times confusion is a sign that the foundation that the ego has built its house on is experiencing some stress.
He seems to still be labouring under the christian version of god in some respects, then discounts this in others. "When you can take the Bible and the Course in Miracles and throw them in the fireplace and watch them burn, without a twinge, then you will understand what is in them." He does bring up Jesus a few times. But it should be pointed out that Jesus, himself, was not a Christian. It should be remembered that it was the priests and politicians that created Christianity... long after Jesus flowered as a 'Christ Consciousness' (whatever that means). :)
I enjoyed his sense of humour... More often than not, having a good sense of humor is a clear sign that the individual is authentic. On the other hand, if one has no sense of humor, get the hell out of there as fast as you can and put some distance behind you.
