Re: My two cents on MMS
Hello Tony,
The
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement protocol is flawed, and due to its high concentration,
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement is dangerous to handle. In spite of repeated efforts to discuss this with Jim Humble, he does not seem to be interested in any change or providing verifiable proof that his protocol is the best way to go.
Sodium chlorite solutions and chlorine dioxide solutions are excellent pesticides, sanitizers, bactericides, viricides and disinfectants when mixed and used correctly. They are also excellent for purifying water and waste water. Also, at higher concentrations, they make an excellent bleaching solution.
In some cases I think it can be a cure in that by eliminating the regrowth of mold mildew, staph, and killing bacteria and viruses on communal surfaces prevents you from getting sick in the first place. Also, we are seeing excellent benefits in oral hygiene from using a sodium chlorite mouthwash.
If you have a topical "issue," these solutions can knock the infection down to a point where your body can heal.
However, all bets are off when you start ingesting these chemicals.
The "stabilized oxygen" products have a little "science" going for them, but they involve much lower concentrations than
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement . I am actually aware of some studies taking place using ultra low concentrations of sodium chlorite. While it is too early to draw any conclusions, the early results look promising.
If I might add to the problems with using these chemicals...
You mentioned oxidative stress, I will add that the average person is not trained to recognize oxidative stress. This complicates the awareness of adverse effects. Fortunately, these solutions generally make you sick at higher concentrations, so people take steps to reduce the effectiveness of the solution, which also reduces its oxidation potential.
I think you need a background in chemistry in order to safely handle and use these chemicals. It is fortunate that they aren't readily available at the corner drug store. It is too bad that there isn't a handy guide to introduce people to the many benefits and the safe handling of these chemicals. In our house we have stopped using
H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) and have found chlorous acid solutions much more effective.
I posed a question to a gastrointerologist. If you could remove the outer mucous layer of the inside surface of the colon, would there be some benefit in doing so? He told me that in some cases, yes. He continued that it would not be something that would be undertaken lightly, and drinking chlorous acid is probably not the best way to do it, but he did indicate that there could be some benefit. When I read the various success stories, I am reminded of this discussion. In particular, he felt that in the case of a colon infected with malaria, there would be an immediate relief. However, it would not address the malaria in the blood stream. The relief would be short lived and the malaria would continue its progress.
We never did get into the long term use effects...
I agree that health is a result of a healthy lifestyle.
