There is nothing to worry about if the dentist has been trained in IAOMT protocol and then you ask him/her to help you get tested for biocompatible materials and also perform the removal sequentially (according to electrical charge - Huggins protocol). It should work great, at least it did for me, no side effects and feeling better each week.
Total cost for all 10 fillings (most of them had a side filling as well as top), was around $2500. With cleaning and prepwork it cost $3000. All covered by my health insurance too, which was great.
IAOMT (and Huggins) protocol say to take activated charcoal only on the day of
Amalgam removal and maybe the next day. It's used to mop up mercury that might have somehow made it to your stomach. The reason you don't want to use it long term is that it not only inhibits mercury absorption, but it also hinders absorption of minerals in foods, which you of course need to survive and be healthy.
