Is it surprising that the owner of the 7Up brand in the US is Dr Pepper/Snapple? What an advertisement for the new version of Snapple: "the best stuff on the planet just got better" because it contains "real sugar" (instead of high fructose corn syrup). Perhaps a more honest ad would say that a really unhealthy drink just got a bit unhealthier but it is still an unhealthy flavored sugar water drink with way too much refined sugar. Prior to the conversion to "real sugar", Snapple advertised that it was "made from the best stuff on earth". Ahhh, the power of advertising . . .
